Here we go again?  That is what we were all thinking when the Tribe took a 6-2 lead in just the 3rd inning. It all started when…………………

In the top of the first Mark Buehrle was roughed up a little as J. Peralta singled to left center, S Choo and A Kearns scored. Then Duncan doubled to deep right center, J Peralta scored. Most of you probably turned off your TV’s as this had been the story this whole season.  But the Sox did make a come back in the bootom half of the inning when Konerko homered to center, O Vizquel scored. That was Paulie’s league leading 17th home run on the season.  In the 3rd Marson homered to left, L Valbuena and M LaPorta scored. This was Marson’s first home run and it gave the Indians a 6-2 lead.

From there on it was all White Sox.  Quentin reached on infield single to shortstop, A Rios scored in the 4th. Then in the 5thVizquel hit sacrifice fly to left, A Ramirez scored. Later in the 5th A Rios singled to center, G Beckham scored. And again it was the hot hitting Mark Kotsay as he singled to right center, A Rios scored, P Konerko to third.

It was then Quentin in the 7th who singled to center which scored 2. That gave the White Sox there first lead of the game.  Peralta made it tight with an RBI single to make it 8-7 but that is all they would get and the score would stay like that to give the Sox there first win of the series.

THE GOOD: There was a lot of good for the Sox as the bats really came alive. Paul Konerko cranked out his 17th home run on the season.  Juan Pierre was 2-4 from the lead off spot. Alex Rios, who has been excellent all season, was 2-3 with an RBI and a walk.  Carlos Quentin was 2-4 with 3 RBI. But the best of them all was probably relief pitcher Tony Pena.  Pena worked 3 innings after Buehrle was taken out in the 3rd.  Pena worked 3 innings giving up 3 hits and 0 runs while striking out 2.  JJ Putz also worked a perfect 7th inning.

THE BAD: There wasn’t to much bad for the Sox tonight.  AJ Pierzynski was 0-4 and Matt Thornton allowed 2 hits and a run in the 8th.

THE UGLY: The worst for the Hawks today was the starter Mark Buehrle who continues to struggle this season.  Mark allowed 8 hits and 6 runs while walking 3.  Mark did geta  no decision but is only 3-6 on the season with an ERA over 5.

The Sox will start a new series Tuesday against the Detroit Tigers.
