The Chicago Cubs are beginning a crucial three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates in their final home stand of the season on Friday afternoon at Wrigley Field. And through one inning, it’s been a wild one.
With the wind blowing out at Wrigley, the Pirates and Cubs have combined for 9 runs through the first inning including three home runs by the Cubs.

After collecting his first hit in his first major league game on the road last week, it didn’t take Hoerner long to make a good first impression with the home crowd.
