Paulie the Great

Pierzynski also chimed in on the fun with an rbi singled that scored Mark Kotsay. The other runs were scored via errors by Nippert and Ramirez. Gavin Floyd was brilliant giving up only 1ER in 7 innings, which included 5 strikeouts and no walks.  Today's win was t ...

Sigh Young?

Jake Peavy is still winless on this young season.  However, he has not looked good at all in any of these games.  He has been wild and out of the strike zone and when he throws it in the zone the opponets blasts it out of the ball park. Jake was roughed up in the 1st inning giving up 5 runs, which 3 walked batters touched home. However he did settle down and pitch 5.1 more innings giving up only one more ru ...

For the first time in this young season that White Sox have won a series, and by a sweep! "I think the feeling is any time you can win games where you know everybody is not clicking and it's just not coming easy, you feel like you kind of got away with one," Konerko said. "You're always positive about the next game that that's the game your going to go out and get 15, 16 hits and score seven, eight runs. So ...

Walk Me Off………AGAIN

Last night Andruw Jones' second home run was a walk off.  Obviously Alex Rios wasn't impressed.  After a solo shot by Paulieeeeeee and Nix got on base, Rios had the opportunity to impress all of Chicago, and he did. Freddy Garcia was excellent going 7 innings giving up only 2 runs and 2 hits.  Sergio Santos provided 1 perfect inning and even though Jenks gave up some runs in the 9th, he picked up the win.  ...

Double Digit Defeat Dooms Sox

The Sox were winning 2-0 in the 3rd.  They finished the game with two runs, while the Rays finished with ten.  Maybe it's the cold weather, maybe it's the batting order, maybe it's the pitching staff.  Maybe it's all three put together.  The Sox don't score runs, they give up tons of runs and yes, it is cold. And just like last night big innings killed the Sox.  The Rays only scored in three innings but tha ...

Too Good To Be True

After such a great game last night, where do you even start on a night like this? Did you start with a team that gave up double digit runs? Or do you start with a team(the same team) that gets shut out.  Well the White Sox offered up both tonight.  The miscommunication error killed the Sox in the 4th inning when Paul Konerko and Gordon beckham both watched a ball fall to the ground.  Carlos Pena then walked ...
