Measurables and combine are almost identical to Howards. A hair smaller, slower, weaker based on that with a much lower dollar figure for years to come.

I'm fine with who we picked. The trade up is crummy. I don't like how we keep selling future picks at a discount.

Apparently you people have not seen Montgomery play. Go watch his highlights and then maybe you all will change your thoughts on him. Keep in mind, he never had an offensive line. If he had an offensive line he would have been gone in the first round
and never had a QB. The guy is a stud.

How about if we liked him before tonight?

Then like him. I was referring to people that said if others didnt like the pick they must not know football. If you didnt suggest that then not talking to you.

I dont mind the pick. Just dont see why I should hate on someone that doesnt like it.

Naw u just like to fan boi like an elementary school kid.

Got it. My bad for being happy about a player that I think was the 2nd best in the draft. And most experts agree. Time will tell I guess.

Disappointing. Lacks long speed and unimpressive ypc. Had hoped for anyone but him. Could have picked up a better back in the 4th or 5th without trading away picks.

This guy doesn't seem like a Nagy RB. You would expect somebody fast. This guy looks quick, but he's not going to outrun many DB's and safeties, which was also something Jordan Howard couldn't do.

I think you're confused as to what Nagy needs in a RB.

His offense doesn't require speed, it requires versatility. A RB has to show the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield.

Kareem Hunt wasn't a particularly fast back, but he was shifty and had a good center of gravity. Most importantly, he had versatility.

Not just Nagy's offense, but most modern NFL offenses are deviating away from the traditional ground and pound style of back that Jordan Howard is.

David Johnson ran a 4.60 as well, speed isn't everything.

This was a good pick. I think he’ll be able to have some nice big runs, despite, allegedly, lacking a second gear to break away. He should face 7- 8 man boxes against a nickel, maybe even a dime D. With the way he runs, he can really smash some dudes. I hope we get a good move TE and then we are good.

4.7 ypc, 3.48 of those came after contact. He was getting hit 1 yard past the line of scrimmage on average. He had a terrible OL. He was my personal 2nd best RB overall, 3 spots behind Jacobs.

Kareem Hunt clone. Great fit. Gonna be a better pro than college player. PFF record 99 broken tackles in 2017. I love this pick. Long speed is not an issue. It wasn't for Hunt who ran a 4.62 at the combine, compared to 4.63 for Montgomery. It wasn't for Kamara who ran a 4.56 which is the same Montgomery ran at his pro day.
