Nice 3 spot for us but tight zone by the ump. Darvish doesnt need to be painting corners. Ump isnt goiong to give them tonight.

Feels like teams are just avoiding to pitch to Jason right now. 16% BB rate. 2x his strike out rate. So I'm taking this as teams are looking at him lower in the order and would rather pitch around right now vs challenge him.

I'd leave him down in order too, even if he continues to swing a good bat..
Need to have a productive bat in bottom of lineup to drive in runs and even if he walks it helps turn over the lineup quicker

Darvish hitting 98.7 mph this late in the game is probably a good sign. That's literally tied for the fastest he's ever thrown his 2 seem according to brooks. He hit 98.76 for his max in 2013 and 2016 but never has gone faster with his 2 seam. He has gone faster with his 4 seam maxing at 99.82 but still having that kind of gas 90 pitches into a game is impressive.
