We left Key Biscane near Miami and sailed 45 hours straight up the east coast of Florida to St Augustine. With just the two of us on board we split the night shift in half with my wife waking up at 3 am to relieve me. We reached our fasted speed after dodging a thunderstorm we still got a bump in winds that took the boat to 9.5 knots (about 11mph). This may not seem fast to you but on our boat it is. This is where we will leave Sandy Bottoms until we return to her in November for our trip to the Bahamas.
