If Sox get off to typical April start, like 5 games under .500, will he finally be launched?

no, They'd have to be historically bad like win only 5 games in April.

I'll admit that Venture's lack of managerial experience may have cost the Sox a game or two. However, I feel there have been, and continue to be, fundamental flaws with this roster that you cannot blame the manager for. Until the front office stops wasting salary on marginal FAs, it doesn't matter who the manager is.

They need to make a commitment to acquiring impact players longterm, or developing talent at the skill positions if they want to win the division and go deep into the playoffs.
