If Chatwood is back to what he was I would consider to trade Q and Heyward to SFG for Cueto. Cueto should be out all season POST TJ so it should be covered by insurance. At that point sign Harper.

If they wanted too

They could do that whether Chatwood improved or not..
Were talking about a 5th starter spot in rotation

Only worth it if Cueto is covered.

Pretty dumb Bryant even has to address this:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Cubs?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Cubs</a> Kris Bryant on buzz over his St. Louis is boring comments:"You never want to say the wrong thing. I think I have earned respect of players around the league. I do things the right way, I treat fans the right way. I know who I am as a person." @cbscchicago <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/MLB?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#MLB</a></p>— Megan Mawicke (@MeganMawicke) <a href="https://twitter.com/MeganMawicke/status/1097537504226373640?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">February 18, 2019</a></blockquote>

Coach David Ross.

Does anyone else find Zobrist's extended absence from ST interesting?

If the Cubs were trying to make a little cap room by unloading Zo's contract, prior to picking up a moderately expensive FA (not really thinking Harper here), then it would make sense for Zo to stay home until his future is more well settled. After all, it's not like we'll be hard pressed to find people to play second, short and the corner fields.

I say this mostly because Zo is the one somewhat expendable piece the Cubs have who has appreciable trade value. If Theo can get someone to believe Zo will have another 2018, he might even be able to package out a couple of the pitchers who are clogging the way for some more promising arms.

If Zo isn't in camp by next Tuesday, I bet we see a trade and then a FA acquisition by next Friday.

Ah, okay. Well, as I've said, I don't have very much free time lately. Thanks for the update.
