Not sure if you're serious about him being fat necessarily meaning he's going to have better ability as a power back. More likely his patience will no longer be complimented by his ability to get through the hole when it forms, and his style wouldn't utilize the benefit of the extra weight given the lack of continuous positive momentum.

Of course none of this is to say he can't simply lose the weight over the next six months.

Either way, I'm on the "don't pay a RB" bandwagon.

I've been clamoring for a "beefback" ever since Matt Forte was drafted. Bears have needed a RB that isn't afraid to run between the tackles and doesn't get tackled by their shoelaces ever since Thomas Jones was traded.
