Love to see the Bears sign Patterson from the Pats. The Bears may have beat the Pats last year without his special teams play.
Would like to see him as a returner and gunner. Having him and Cohen on the field at the same time in the backfield would allow one to split out wide depending on the size matchup. I thought he was very respectable running the ball

Are we really concerned about Bellamy's replacement?

He fits the role perfectly

kick off returner....we need...check
5th wr.....we need....check
adds speed to the wr position...we need....check
can play out of the backfield as well....we can utilize...check
contributes on punt coverage, replacing bellamy as gunner....check
probably wont cost a ton....we need cheap contributors...check

i think he's be a perfect signing

weren't we last in kick returns last season?

seems like this guy covers 3-4 spots with one signing?

Last I saw of Patterson, he couldn't run a route. We're finally getting rid of KW and you want to add another guy who can't run routes. He was more of a RB for the Patriots.

THIS. Bellamy is actually a VERY good route runner, only major prob was his hands. Patterson can't run routes and has worse hands than Bellamy. Some posters here really need to READ more and post less.

exactly, Wims. Would have been nice to get Amendola, still looking for our tough white guy that Sanzenbacher never was.

Wonder if White would get more time if he was only getting a 3 million dollar deal. Boy that man was doing some blocking last year.

Are they actually getting rid of Kevin White? I know they didn't pick up his option, but that doesn't mean they can't sign him, or does it?

Pump the brakes.

3-4 spots?????

Please remember he is not really a WR.

if signed as 5th wr; what leads you to think he'll be running any/many routes each game?

He's more of a fit for everything else he brings (kick returner, special teams) but allows nagy to utilize creatively on offense if he desires.

5th wr
4th "rb"
kick returner
punt coverage gunner

that's 4 spots (all which we need to fill).....not a bad to fill with one guy

You’re right, he would be a good pick up. He has more receptions and TDs than Bellamy over the last two seasons. How hard is it to run a 9 or a drag? The guy is dangerous in space with the ball in his hands. He’s an excellent kick returner too.

I would think Wims will be the number 4 receiver by default going into camp. Patterson would be the 5th or 6th if signed.
