Two questions.

1) Why indirect? I've had no issues with Italian Sausage on direct.
2) You going to be posting in the White Sox section?

It's roasting rather than grilling.

Was gonna grill some burgers last night with a few of my friends, but then it rained. I was a sad panda.

1. It stays juicier. I picked that up from Steven Raichlen's show on PBS.

2. Occasionally.

I got a weber replacement cooking grate, It's about 1/2 inch to big for my Kamado Acorn, so I can't close the lid completely which means no indirect grilling or smoking until I get the replacement part from Char-Griller. I marinated 2 london broil top round steaks overnight with meat tenderizer and Sazon Goya Molla Gruilla marinade and grilled them as well as vegetable mix of zucchini, onions, tomatoes and mushrooms Sunday night. Served with garlic bread and hash browns. Meal turned out well. No leftovers.

So lately i've been cutting pork butt into steaks to smoke/grill. anyone else do this?

I've halved larger ones to smoke them quicker. Never grilled them.

You breaking down your own meat or buying it store cut? Also, what kind of grill? Some nice fatty meat you got. Flavor galore.

Still waiting on my replacement parts for Kamodo Acorn grill/smoker. Sucks not being able to use it for more than burgers/brats.

My parents got a firepit recently. Maybe I can use it to make smores. CLOSE ENOUGH!
