Why indirect????

They stay juicier and don't burst. 30 minutes off heat then finish them over the fire.

I've never had the issue.

I had that issue once. It was more my fault because I didn't prick them properly. I saw Steven Raichlen do it on his cooking show on PBS.

Grilled some grass finished beef sirloin and grass finished bison filets yesterday on the deck of a huge house in the CO mountains, during a blizzard. What an incredible way to spend the day

Sorry to everyone seeing this as a start to your work day in advance.

This meal was done by my brother in law including his first attempt at making brisket. He converted vegans to kill cow and pig. The smoker is new picked up in person from St. Louis. Smoked the brisket for 8 hours. Then wrapped it in aluminum foil, heated the cooler with hot water first, then wrapped the foiled brisket with towels for five hours. The internal meat was still at 160. Melted in your mouth. Myron Mixon is now out of a job. :)

Kind of a shame to put sweet baby rays on that delicious meat.

Damn, that's a lot of meat. How many people were you cooking for? Gotta try those chicken strips, too.

Just thought I'd say that I've finally gotten to handle some grilling myself for some friends when they've had informal BBQs. Haven't had a colossal failure yet so yay! :D

So far just simple stuff like burgers, brats, and hot dogs. Did a couple pieces of chicken as well and found it to be quite a bit trickier...though it may have been to it being covered in some sort of chipotle sauce (someone else brought it). Still turned out ok though.

Trying to convince my parents to get a charcoal grill over a propane one since our grill recently broke...good idea or no?

If the propane grill broke use it as a charcoal grill. I got two more years out of a grill that way

For chicken two things. Indirect cooking. Then near the end baste and low to med direct to bake it in

What's the best way to grill corn? In the husk or in foil?
