#Bears RB Matt Forte is seriously considering not reporting to training camp, according to a source. Gonna be a lot of drama in Bourbonnais

He wants his new contract. He'll get it.

If the Bears aren't going to pay anyone else, may as well pay Forte.

Don't blame him. RBs in the NFL have a very short life span. Gotta get the money while ya can.

Forte must think he's the second coming of Gale Sayers.

agreed...not done enough to be a hold out. Ask cedric benson what happens when you hold out on this team. You get Urlacher'd.

He must think that the odds are just as good that an injury occurs as him having another productive behind this crap line. So he ought to cash in on his season when he can...

Forte is set to make 550k next season, from what I saw on Twitter.

His worth the past few seasons has been about 10x's that much, if not more, according to the market prices I've seen today.

I don't blame him in this instance. RBs get hurt all the time. Plus, teams can just cut players when they want, they may as well be able to fight for a good contract that can be shredded when the owners want.

He also apparently gets fined for everyday he doesn't report to camp under the new CBA.

I could be wrong about that. I heard Zack Zaidman talking about that on B&B, but I was more worried about my kabobs then listening.

Well for anyone who thinks the owners didn't win the lockout, they certainly did with that new incentive to sign. Yeah, that's probably going to keep salaries down a bit.
