We've been discussing this in the in-season rumor thread. Seems like a pretty weak rumor, but if they want to swap him for Byrd why not.

I think at least half the teams in MLB called the Nats when Lannan got sent down. They all are trying to see if they can buy low on the guy, and the Nats aren't biting right now. The Cubs are getting more play on the rumor because the Nats were interested in Byrd, but I doubt anything happens on this one.

Sean Marshall is great, but the need for a top left handed setup guy is pretty moot when your team is terrible.
