reliever (righty) veteran
SP of the 2, 2a variety, hell if we get one, than we can move humber to the pen for long relief. which im ok with

i wanted demp but i think theo will be off his rocker asking for a ton for anyone he trades. the cubs farm is mid pack at best with ZERO pitching so I assume theo will pray on the desperate parties and from listening to KW he wont just give up a ton of specs for a rental player coming off the DL.

More and more teams are dropping out of the pretender category so it should be a bit easier of a market come july 31.

Wandy rodriguez hasn't looked too bad and think he would be a great pick-up. The Sox don't have enought to acquire a SP, but a guy that you do is Jeremy Guthrie. He's not the best pitcher, but he'll be good for you guys.

So I like Guthrie and Rodriguez for you guys.

A the bullpen goes ... I'm not really sure.

Any SP on the market FA to be can be had. The whole "farm system sucks" by rankings is kinda misleading when teams want specific needs. A FA starter to be can be traded with a team that is ranked 1,219,030 in farm system rankings.

Also Wandy Rodriguez is a no due to another lefty in the rotation.

no one knows the exact plan. listening to coop the other day it seems as the plan is to skip starts instead of full shut down mode.

Dewy, I'm right ... there's no way you're gunna get Hamels, Garza or Greinke. I'm not saying that they're going to get good prospects in return. But there will be a lot of teams after the players with the lack of sellers. They're not gunna be able to compete with them and get into a bidding war.

when did i say we would get one of those guys? id prefer a rental than garza for sure, and wouldnt try for a pitcher who has a disabling anxiety disorder
