He had sub 4.40 speed too. That's why he was able to make an NFL roster unlike Brandon Rideau.

Is there reason to blame Drake specifically over Ron Turner though?

Bradley was benched and eventually cut, in 08 at least, because he didn't give effort in practice throughout camp. He was the #1 on the depth chart on that camp and fell to be inactive. I have no clue who had more say through Drake or Turner.

It's an educated guess. Believe what you want, as will I.

Drake also went on record to say he regretted his decision to keep earl benched his rookie year so that he could learn the x, y, and z positions. He abandoned that in 2009 (when knox started)

I guess Martz thought because Williams was such a stud in Detroit, he'd be a big star in Chi. Hopefully he had some self- respect and returned all of his salary from last year.
