when Deng comes back thibs should play him for about 33-35 a game

its no sense playing deng 43 minutes when you have a guy like Jimmy as a backup

Also. There it's no sense keeping a guy who has reached his peak like Deng in your team when you have a younger, cheaper and with better potential, version of him in your team. You can trade him.

I've been a fan of cutting Deng's minutes since Thibs first started playing him like 42 minutes a game.

tbh i wouldn't trade deng for gordon (unless we got MKG too)...and thats saying something

Bearsmod1 doesn't like Deng, most of his posts on the Bulls forum have been Deng hate.

all i am saying is for cheaper, we can get someone else.

he is not that hyped as the fans make him out to be

If you release him, you still have to pay his contract. Unless a buyout is made. So, you either trade him for expiring contracts/a younger player or you keep him. Since I doubt a team will take on his contract especially when he still have more than 1-year on his contract.

There are players in free agency that are pretty good. So, trading him for expiring contracts isn't the worse idea.
