I did a search three weeks ago and there were no tickets available for Opening Day for the White Sox. I did a search five minutes ago and you can get at least 4 tickets together in the lower deck at Wrigley that are unobstructed view.

Cubs fans aren't stupid. They know the team's gonna suck and they'll come out only if the team has a "Major League" type resurgence.

Define "stupid"? The Cubs have drawn numbers that the team has not deserved for years.

Sox won't outdraw the Cubs until/unless the Cubs leave Wrigley.

A lot of that has to do with dedication and tourism. But most casual Cubs fans won't go out of their way to watch the team unless it's doing something good.

I agree, but then there's nothing different this year than last, so why isn't it still selling out? Wrigley is still a tourist attraction. Aren't Cub Fans still dedicated?

I voted no because after all they are the Cubs. The Cubs have a different atmosphere to their fanbase than the Sox, Sox fans come for baseaball, Cubs fans come to drink and enjoy being in the atmosphere that is Wrigley Field

Iirc those were drunk cub fans that did the cub game earlier. But your point is understood.

not saying stupid Cub fans don't exist but my freind Vlad knows the Ligue's and they're about as die hard Sox as you can get.

but does it matter? does being number 1 in attendance anything to brag about with any team in any city? I never understood why any fan would care or be ashamed or boast. To me all Im concerned with is championships. not the attendance, hot girls, etc etc. If any fan uses the attendance as a base for self reasurence than they are total idiots and should stop talking on message boards, to their family and friends about sports. period.
