Re-do? Are you dense? All of this is fan speculation, you delusional bastard.

You want to see a mock where we draft a safety just post one or peruse the many that spew out on the forum daily.

IMO, the safety position has been covered in FA. We signed 5 safeties this offseason. Like it or not Mundy will probably be the SS. I'll eat crow if thats not the case, but I'm not Emery and I doubt any of you are. So at the end of the day if you see something you don't agree with, don't start insisting that person should rethink their post. Its my opinion, not the fucking gospel, just post your shitty opinion below mine and we can kill time before the draft/season.
So you think we are done with the safety position and your calling me delusional?? hahahaha you're funny......and delusional......but more funny than delusional.
I wouldn't doubt if one of our starting safeties are already on our roster and it probably will be Mundy but i have to think we'll be drafting another one somewhere in the first three rounds.
You're sooooo funny.

If the Bears stand pat at 14 :
1. Justin Gilbert/Darquez Dennard (in that order)
2. Deone Buchannon
3. Weston Richburg
4. Shayne Skov
5. Colt Lyera
6. Logan Thomas

Really hoping one of the top 3 Qb or Lt drop to 14.
With trade:
#26. Bradly Roby
#36. Stephon Tuitt
#51. Deone Buchannon
Rest of the draft stays the same.

Louis Nix seems to be falling on everyone's DT rankings and top 25 rankings.

The Ra'shede Hageman hype train seems to be slowing.

I am wondering who people think could be the likely 1st round surprises or guys who go higher than we think?

Kyle Fuller seems to be on the rise.

Emery really should use the first pick on Clinton Dix & trade up in the second for Tuitt. That gives them an immediate stater at the front & back end where they need help the most.

How do you guys feel about Adrian Hubbard, DE/OLB from Alabama?

I think he'd be a nice mid-round pick and would provide DE depth. I know we are currently carrying a lot of DEs and who knows if Austen Lane or Trevor Scott will make the final roster.

Hubbard is interesting DE prospect at 6'6 257 lbs.
- Ran a 4.69 40
- Has a 38.5 vert at 6'6!
- Had 10 sacks last season
- Great potential with Coach P

Drafting Hubbard in the 4th or 5th round perhaps would be a great addition to our team. He would be a great project player behind Jared Allen and Lamarr Houston, plus Coach P would probably get the best out of him. With that in mind, imagine a DE Rotation with:
1. Jared Allen
2. Lamarr Houston
3. Willie Young
4. David Bass
5. Adrian Hubbard
6. Cornelius Washington?
7. Either Austen Lane/Trevor Scott

If the Bears were to trade down with Cleveland like alot of people would like, a draft like this would be nice:

1- 26 CB Kyle Fuller cle
2- 35 DE Stephon Tuitt cle
2- 51 HB Carlos Hyde
3- 82 MLB Max Bullough cle
3- 83 S Deonne Buchannon
4- 117 DE Kareem Martin
5- 156 QB Aaron Murray
6- 183 TE Colt Lyria
6- 191 CB Walt Akiens

I would buy into Super Bowl hype with this draft imho :beerbang:

I really hope the Bears either take a pass rusher or FS with the first pick & take a CB with the first pick in 2015. IMO there will be a quality young safety or pass rusher available at #14. Since Emery resigned Tillman, Jennings & Hayden to go along with Frey, I really hope they focus more on using the first 2-3 picks on areas that are in need of immediate help at DT/FS/MLB, & the Bears do need a legitimate MIKE LB.

Kiper's 3 Round Grade A Draft:

"Every year most Mock Drafters base their picks on whom they believe a team will take. For ESPN's Mel Kiper, he does one mock each year where he makes the picks that he believes make the most sense.

He has three rules that he follows for his "Grade: A" mock when picking and they are;

1. At each slot, I make a pick in the best interest of only the team with the pick. I won't pass on a player at No. 5 just because I like how he fits better at No. 7.
2. There are no trades. I note team needs, but not all picks are specifically to hit a need -- same as the draft.
3. This is NOT A PROJECTION. It's more a look at how I currently value players at each slot.
If you remember last year he had the Bears taking Kyle Long in the 1st on his "Grade: A" mock.

Here are his Chicago Bears selections for three rounds.

Top needs: DT, S, CB, WR

Round 1 (14) CB Darqueze Dennard, Michigan St.
Round 2 (51) DT Brent Urban, Virginia
Round 3 (82) DT Caraun Reid, Princeton

Analysis: The big debate for me at No. 14 is whether to take Aaron Donald, the defensive tackle out of Pitt, or Dennard. But as I evaluate my cornerback situation, I know it's really tenuous. Both Tim Jennings and Charles Tillman are north of 30, and there's really no place in the secondary where we don't need to add talent. Clinton-Dix would have been in play, but he came off the board at No. 13. Dennard provides immediate help as an experienced, versatile corner who covers well and will bring a necessary physical side against the run and against underneath throws. After that, I turn the attention to the defensive line. While the additions of Jared Allen,Willie Young and Lamarr Houston help, I'm looking for help up the middle. Urban is a player I'm really high on; a potential Round 1 talent if he hadn't gotten hurt after the season. Reid is a sleeper with impressive athleticism. Add players either to the front end of the defense or the back, and you can't go wrong.
Dennard is a guy we've discussed before. There's a real chance he could be the Bears' 1st round target.

Urban is a 6'7", 295-pounder that is scheme versatile. You can line him up as a 3-4 DE or a 4-3 DT. He's a high ceiling type of player.

Reid is strictly a DT, and at 6'2", 302 he would probably fit best as a three technique. He has a quick first step and had a very good week at the Senior Bowl.

We can't bring you his entire "Grade: A" mock, as it's for insider eyes only, but what are your thoughts on these three players?"

This my "Emery Draft". I tried to pick players that fit the mold of large, explosive players that are scheme diverse. I used the Fanspeak big board and their simulator.

All DTs and CBs? Why?

All 3 defensive lineman can play inside and out. It gives the Bears a nice infusion of size, youth and flexibility.
I wanted a safety but none were available that were worth drafting at my slots. Corner is a huge need. Not after this draft...
