That is an interesting point. I haven't heard a lot of discussion about that. How are the TB Dts?
they have a pro-bowl caliber 3 tech...

Got bored today doing some design work, put together an image of a defensive-heavy draft.
Thought maybe you guys would enjoy. And if you don't, kindly file your thoughts up your ass.

Really nice work!

Daniel McCullers is a must for us...
If there's one thing our defense needs it's a middling two-down player who doesn't fit the scheme and who's most impressive film is a single game from two years ago!
we gave up tons of yards up the middle with other teams running the ball down our throat...
McCullers serves a purpose... He demands double teams and does a good job of holding his ground in the middle of the field... If teams single block him he can usually slip the block and make the tackle...
Not to mention he is a 3rd or 4th round pick... Which means he needs to develop and hopefully can turn into a dominating player for us... He is going to have Jay Ratliff to learn things from which should do wonders for him...
Also how does a giant run stopping NT not fit what we need? We don't need a giant block eating run stopper? WTF are you talking about? He played in a 4-3 at Tennessee and he even was tried at 3-tech because of how athletic he was...
BTW what is the bears official scheme? i thought we were a 4-3 team? and since McCullers played in a 4-3 in college and did a solid enough job to earn himself a 3rd or 4th round grade we should be considering him in the 3rd and 4th round...
Just wanted to bump this. Seantrel Henderson got drafted in the 7th by Buffalo. He just beat out their second round draft pick for the starting RT job. He was supremely talented coming out of high school, but had some maturity issues in college that caused him to get suspended more than once and he ended up falling in the draft because of that. I wanted us to take a flyer on him, but we went with somebody else. Now he'll be opening the season against us at RT. I expect him to have a long career.I'm not into doing full mocks, but there are some players I think we should take flyers on late. Obviously we won't get all of these guys, but I think they'd provide good value late. Anywhere from the 4th to 7th/undrafted
Most have Colt Lyerla, ORE TE, in their mocks. He's supremely talented. A first round talent, but he has undraftable-character concerns. A step below Hernandez in play on the field and off.
Storm Johnson, UCF RB, I don't like our RB depth behind Forte and Johnson has a lot of talent.
Kevin Norwood, ALA WR, Good size at 6'2, ran a 4.5 at the combine and was a starter at WR and on special teams for Bama. He could be a good project late.
Tre Boston, UNC Safety, 6'0, ran a 4.6 at the combine. Hardly gets talked about at all, but he was a playmaker for UNC. He had 5 ints this year and always seemed to make a play when they faced Miami. More of a SS than FS
Seantrel Henderson, MIA OT, another player with first round talent, but character concerns will drop him. Admitted to smoking weed at Miami. Could compete with Mills for PT or could be our swing tackle. He has prototypical measurements.
Bryan Stork, FSU OC, Rimington Award winner this year. I believe he can be the eventually replacement for Garza.
DeAnthony Thomas or Dri Archer, either would step in immediately as our return specialist. Both are players that appear in a lot of Bears mocks I see on here
Man, these were so much funWelcome to the Chicago Bears 2014 Mock Draft Database!
Last year I caught some flack for starting the MDD early -- so what did I do this year? Started it almost 2 months earlier!!! It's NEVER too early to talk NFL Draft!
Since there's a LOT of unknowns at this point, this thread can serve as a landing spot for your draft information. We've got a lot of draft nuts on this site, and we can all appreciate the information/insight more if it's centralized in one thread. Eventually, this post will look a lot like the 2013, 2012 and 2011 CCS MDD's, which you can view below.
