With recent news coming out that Earl Bennett and Eric Weems might be cut, the Bears better have a backup plan if both are released. If Brandon Marshall or Alshon Jeffery get hurt, the Bears are in trouble without viable backups. IMO, I don't think Marquess Wilson is ready for the #3 spot but I think he will be at the #4 spot.

  • Kenny Britt | Tennessee Titans | 25
  • Jacoby Ford | Oakland Raiders | 26
  • Joe Webb | Minnesota Vikings | 27
  • Darrius Heyward-Bey | Indianapolis Colts | 27
  • Miles Austin | Dallas Cowboys | 29

Thoughts? Opinions?

It will be a rookie WR to add to the mix. Wilson played quite a bit last season.

I would take a shot with Britt. He was really dominating before he got hurt. Plus he might get his head on straight with Marshalls help. Ford would make some sense because he is a good returner. I wouldn't touch any of those other guys. They would have to come cheap either way

Britt is being courted by a couple teams.....I'd take the cheapest guy not named Joe Webb

Fords the only one on the list worth adding, if anything finding a speed slot receiver kr option would work. But I don't see any FA being worth the price

Pretty much every team would be in trouble if their top 2 WR's got hurt

I don't know much about Wilson, but damn would you guys be dangerous if he was to turn out, isn't he also like 6'4?

And you guys should be good on free agent WRs and just hit the draft, its pretty stacked in the middle rounds as far as WRs go.

Jacoby is interesting. Hell, he did shot with Jason C. That takes talent.

domenik hixon did catch 39 passes for 567 yards in 2012. we're talking about our 5th option on offense here. along with wilson and probably another late round pick, the bears are probably okay with what they have.
