No excuses for it at this point.
If Melo re-signs with New York and Minnesota doesn't trade Love, I don't see what they could do.
If Melo signs elsewhere and Love is traded elsewhere, then it is a massive failure of the front office.
If Melo re-signs for a max contract, that tells you he wanted the money. Some teams are stubborn and Minnesota could just ride out Love another year and not care about losing him for nothing.Do their jobs and convince Melo to not resign with NY and it's in Minny's best interest to get something for Love before he leaves for nothing.

Otherwise, yes, that is what the Bulls have to do.
Not sure another max contract is in the best interest of this organization.
I honestly don't know what this means in relation to what I said.if we dont get melo/love what do we do?
blow up the team?

Is Melo really big time? Honest question.you said another max contract is not in the best interest
if getting a big time player isnt what do you want to do then whats your plan?

Why?
Easier said than done. But I really don't think Melo is in it for the money. Therefore the decision comes down to, does he believe Phil Jackson can turn around the Knicks in a short amount of time (and does he want to wait that long) and does his wife hold his balls on staying in NY or not... If thats not the case, I fail to see how Carmelo does not come here.Convince Melo it's not solely about the money.
