The past 2 years Montero has declined, and has kind of a not-cheap contract.

In fact, this year both Montero, and Flowers, had an OPS+ of 95. Flowers was also much better at defence.

Upgrading is fine, but Montero isn't worth it. Way too marginal. Shoot for Grandal.

I don't know what to make of Castro. Has had a piss poor year (2014), an average year (2012), and then 2013 when he had a wRC+ of 129.

Doesn't field as well as Flowers, going to cost a bit to trade for.

I really want Grandal.

It was a no cost low risk move. It was a chance taken that did not pan out. No biggie really.

Guy still doesn't pitch much more than 160 innings.

Well, he sure as heck wasn't terrible last year. with the Sox, I think he was still recovering from his surgery. One thing for sure, when the guy is right, his stuff is as good as there is in baseball. Lefties have NO CHANCE against him.
