Other than the Mariota ranking it looks like we finally have some real scouts who have watched real tape and given us some real rankings to go by...

Yeah, this is a surprisingly good ranking given how awful the first Scouts rankings were last year.

Well the Panthers had the home run pick last year getting Benjamin who was given a 75. Wow.

Really interesting year for the DLine. I think this group will have an impact for years to come.

It seems to be the strength of the draft. Between Williams, Ray, Gregory, Shelton, Fowler and Armstead you have 3 edge rushers, a NT and a couple 5-techs that Scouts Inc has graded at 91 or higher.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Michigan Wolverines
  2. Ohio Bobcats
This draft is top-heavy with defensive line prospects. If we dont get a pass rusher in the first two rounds I will be very disappointed

The 2014 1st round is looking pretty fantastic overall. Lot of solid players.

Arik Armstead is a very intriguing guy.

Don't know if he can climb into the top 10, but at 6'8" 295lbs. and with his power he could be an interesting piece to a 3-4 conversion.

Ereck Flowers is a technical mess and I would not have him in the top 32. Reminds me of Orlando Franklin.

Flowers is more athletic than Franklin which is most likely why he is regarded as a better prospect.

With Armstead, he doesnt play nearly as physical as his size would indicate. The scouting report NFL.com has on his is pretty spot on. His potential is crazy though. And if he was there in the 2nd I would be all over it. He can end up being a really good 5.

I'll have to distance myself from my last views of Armstead, which were of him getting bludgeoned by the OSU offensive line, before I evaluate him again.

The numbers before each name apply to their overall ranking, not necessarily where they'll be picked correct?

What if our draft went like this:

1st Round: Shane Ray - DE/OLB - Missouri
2nd Round: Arik Armstead - DE - Oregon
3rd Round: Phillip Dorsett - WR - Miami

I don't think Armstead makes it. I think he will continue to climb up into the top 15 as scouts see his athleticism at the combine and his measurables.

Then we'd all be creaming ourlselves and laughing at other teams' GMs. We would probably need 3 first round picks, including two in the top ten overall to draft those 3 players.
