He's going to fill the role that Sopel did 5 years ago.
He's a defensive defenseman that isn't scared of blocking a million shots per game. Also decently physical.
He's old, but he's not coming here to be a star.
But morons like Capt. Serious who think they know everything are going to "hate" the trade and call a professional GA a "joke".
Par for the course with band wagon know it all fans like him, though.

My favorite teams
I'm lukewarm to this. He hasn't played since last year, Makes Rosie look young and Q will probably ride him like a human pony girl. On the other hand, he's defensive depth, he will not be resigning, and who knows...since this is his last go he might have some passion on the ice.

I didnt want a top six. I wanted a guy thats been playing hockey in the nhl this season. At 39 if he hits the roster without having played all season..im very skeptical.
Wouldnt have gave a 2nd for him. Unless there is something else in the works that explains this more im baffled by it.
