To all the negnancies, did you really want to compete in the Cox/Culliver sweepstakes who both brought home close to 7m a year?!
This is a good signing.

In hindsight, it would have been nice to sign Cox. Then we'd have a Cox and Ball defensive backfield.

Edit: Should have gone after Reggie Bush, too.

It is clear that the Bears are going to prioritize length at the CB position. Moving to a press man system will require players that can match up 1 on 1.

Big, cheap, and experienced CB.

Solid signing.

It sounds like Fuller will be the #1, Ball #2, and Jennings #3 with #4 and #5 being Hurst and Louis-Jean, respectively.

CB: Fuller/Ball/Jennings/Hurst/Louis-Jean/Rookie?

Pace continues to follow the Patriots personnel plan. Buy low.

On another note, the Bears attrition in the defensive backfield has been horrible the last decade. I wonder if we can contribute that to the Cover 2, bad luck or bad drafting...

Let those CB's cover instead of tackle..

As of now, Im sure there will be a corner drafted as well.

Yeah. Just updated it but it will most likely be a late round one though. I do have the Bears drafting Ifo Ekpre-Olomu in the fourth round but I see him as a free safety though.

He's better than an empty roster spot and he didn't cost too much. Good signing in that it's an area of need and he wasn't expensive.

If Ekpre-Olomu comes back healthy I think he would make a great slot guy. Has the quick twitch you look for and has really quick feet to handle slot receivers

Also might have to steal your Ifo Ekpre-Olomu in the 4th for my mock.

I do not see Jennings being a good fit in this system, nor do I seem him surviving past when his money is guaranteed.

Like to see him get some reps at FS in camp. Especially if the Bears draft a CB early.

That adds a nice dimension as well.

Draft a CB, move him to safety.

Draft a S, leave him at CB.
