Sorry my cutler supporting friends list is full

It is ok. Maybe next time pal.

Hey, my mom said you could come over next Friday after school. I was wondering if you wanted to play Xbox or something, just like old times?

After 3 straight Bear losses in the first three weeks in which Cutler throws 12 interceptions to 3 touchdowns, Claussen will be named starter and go on a 14 TD to 1 INT run as the Bears rip off a 6 game winning streak.

Then they put Cutler back in. Season over.

Jimmy had and will now get more good coaching. He wouldn't be the 1st Qb to turn it around mid career. That said, there's certainly not enough play to expect he'll threaten Jay at this time. If somebody can beat out Jay or Forte or Long etc, I'm all for it. Anything that makes the team better, works for me.

All I would like to see is let Cutler start. After 3 or 4 games if he gives us shit as a Qb then use someone else and ride that to the end of the year. You generally shouldnt expect a better QB play with backups but at least it's less disappointing nevertheless. Sick and tired of the every year excuse that this is Cutlers year. I'll believe when I see it for 2 straight years.

I just happened to rewatch the Detroit game from last year and I thought Clausen held his mud pretty well. He was pretty accurate, has a strong arm, can run a little bit and only made a couple bonehead moves. Looking back I think Trestman wanted to prove that his system worked and Cutler didn't and they damn near beat the Lions who were playoff favorites.

Thank god that didn't happen. Trestman might still be here. And Tucker too. (shudders)

when they talk about meatballs, they talk about you. And that is not in defense of Cutler.

People see what they want. I'm not a Clausen hater but he had a 71 rating with 4.6 ypa last year. Jay was 88 with 6.8 and I thought that wasn't good in that system. It's not like Clausen had any starting offers this off season, in an NFL that always needs 10 or so.

I think that the fans of most teams would be thrilled if their backup QB went in and did well instead of completely shitting the bed as typically happens.

Here, they're scorned. It must be because of Chicago's long and illustrious history of great quarterback play.

Clausen sucks, but at least he doesn't cost $16.5 million to suck like he who shall not be named... so he's got that going for him...

I don't think most are dumping on him unless you think that pointing to his poorer than Jay performance history dumping. That's simply in reaction to the anybody but Jay contingent.

Clausen isn't anything special. Cutler has much higher ceiling but also a lower floor. Clausen could play okay in our system. Jay is on his way out, we are stuck. 5% chance cutler finally puts it all together. The future of this team is not on the roster right now.
