This Senior Bowl clip of lineman one on ones is pretty telling. It doesn't take much to tell the pretenders from the contenders.
More of this footage would be interesting to watch.
Lineman one on ones
Rankin- wow, he is dirty.
Oakman- noooooooooooo

Glaskow- interesting late round HUGE center prospect
Vadal Alexander- mammoth OG, jump at him in the 3rd
La'Raven Clark-uuuuuuuuh...no

reminds me of this and had me wondering why folks thought he could possibly play LT in the NFL

and some of the same folks say that Kyle can't

Good practice still doesn't assure good prospect. Chris Williams looked good in Senior Bowl practices but not so good in the game under live fire. He was often overpowered or beat in the game. I guess that D had the better players facing him.

Hadn't seen any Louisville games, but Rankin sure looks sudden for a big man, 6'2" 304 at Senior Bowl drills

So I went to look at some tape. What I noticed was a guy that if he doesn't make progress with his first move, he just sort of stands around locked up with the lineman. And if double teamed, which happened a lot, he seems to be content that occupying two guys is doing enough. He seems to lack the ferocious, "get the fuck out of my way to my meal" mentality. Also doesn't seem to pursue plays away from him with any passion.

Is he a rare big man with quickness and burst that can dominate NFL tackles and ends or a physically gifted NFL body with a flag football brain. That's what Pace gets paid to figure out.

He sux. 98% of the time he was Velcro'd to the O lineman he was opposite. No penetration.
