It would be nice for them to give him another shot at starting now that he found his control. I think they are glad only making sure hitters get one look at him per game, but it would be nice to stay in house if Jake leaves and when Lackey and Hammels contracts expire.

Not sure he has the right combination of frame + repeatable motion to pitch 180+ innings in the big leagues.

Right now you do nothing. They have Cahill in AAA being stretched out as a 6th man. They added Smith. Guess he will be a ROOGY. 2 lefties they can use in different situations. Joe seems like a guy that just can get a strike out on command.

This leaves Edwards and i see him as a guy you can get a extra inning out of if needed.

Looking into the future: If he naturally puts on weight as he ages sure. If he ends up a skinny guy no.

So are they going to make Edwards a starter? That would probably be awesome. The guys throws like 96-97 mph and can strike mother fuckers out. It would be great if he could consistently get us 7-8 innings.
