Never heard of him. On paper, sounds like a nice pick up, but injuries...so, I'll hold out my hopes.
Thats a pretty crappy reason.
Cross young fingers that the ankle checks out.
If he had a doctor tell him that he had bone spurs and needed surgery, then I think the guy probably should file a lawsuit to get his salary back as well as damages. I had bone spurs in my neck that finally resulted in a neck fusion. Let me tell you that the pain from those spurs was incredible. I was literally popping Vicodin and scotch on a regular basis.
I don't think he could sue because you can cut someone for no reason at all.
What kind of scotch?
Solid pick up.
He was very good for the Browns in the slot over the last 2 seasons.
This could allow the Bears to put Fuller on PUP let his knee really heal and to move Callahan outside in the meantime.

NO. This is not how PUP works. Once you step on the practice/game field, you aren't eligible for PUP.
But yeah, Williams can play. If he's healthy, he allows Callahan to start on the outside til Fuller gets back and he can play the slot.
After six weeks on the PUP, a team is allowed to let the player return to the practice field for three weeks to evaluate before making a decision.
Sounds like the kid can play but why would Clev cut him if he's any good??

Kicking the tires on someone who may have a long term injury/recurring ... Pace should just stick to the draft.
