Did some stat researching today and saw some telling numbers.

As most of us know the Cubs have struggled to hit the ball. Relative to the 4 remaining teams we have the lowest OPS by about 70 points, and the lowest batting average by about 30 points. Granted this was against a very solid Giants starting staff and Kershaw.

The telling stat on the Dodgers is their pitching outside Kershaw as he has thrown 1/3 of this innings for he Dodgers so far and has 4 of the 29 walks. The other pitchers 25 walks is almost double that of other teams left, and their ERA is almost double that of the third best staff the Cubs. This bodes well for the Cubs to get out of their funk. Clog the bases and wait for the right pitch to hit.

So in the next two games before another Kershaw game either the Dodgers pitching is going to give or the Cubs hitting will give. History tells us the Cubs bats will come alive against average to bad pitching.
