So is tonight the night the penalty kill stops being terrible? Who knows. This Devils team has offensive firepower it hasn't had in quite some time in the form of Taylor Hall, who already has give goals in six games. After that? Not so much. Old friend Corey Schneider will likely skate between the pipes for NJ. We can talk all we want about 5-on-5 play, and the issues that still exist among the depth forward, but it doesn't feel like this Hawks team is going to go forward at all until the PK gets sorted out. Maybe four days off was enough time to go back to the ol' drawing board.

Holy shit, that PK fail was like everything we all talked about.... screened, no shot block, letting shots come from middle of the ice at the blue line, not cleaning up pucks around the net....
