Outside of the typical Central Division matchups with foes like the Blues and Preds and the Red Wings (who've since sailed east), there haven't been too many games that you circle on the calendar as appointment viewing. I'd wager that this one gets pretty close, as the Hawks will get their first look at hockey's new sensation: 19-year-old Connor McDavid. He still can't buy booze in the states, but he's averaging over a point-per-game for the second straight season and leads the NHL with 14 assists. But tonight he's facing a team that's riding high after an absurd third-period comeback on Saturday night and sits five points clear of the lead in the conference standings. Can't wait for this one.

LET'S GO HAWKS!!

Yesterday felt so empty with out a game on...

As exciting as last game was, get a lead early and keep it!

I talked to Hoss this morning. He promised to let someone else get the GWG tonight.

I wish I wasn't too lazy to look up some of the posts from the beginning of the season now. hah. Hossa for president, make the hawks great again.

Or all of the predictions about Hossa likely being relegated to third-line duty? That was my line all summer. S-M-R-T!

Anyway, really looking forward to getting a good look at Connor McJesus tonight. Because the NHL has no idea how to market its young talent, I haven't been able to see too much of this guy. Want to see what all the hype is about.

Ugly.

Feels like the Hawks have had the better of possession in this game, just haven't been able to convert. And a few soft goals from Crawford put everything in Edmonton's favor.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Yep. Not a good night from Crawford but it also certainly didn't help that Toews looked like Arkhipov and Kane looked like Holmqvist.
