I would feel indifferent about that trade, IMO i dont think he is that good but I'm also not a pro football evaluater. But at 9 you still should get a really good player and possible top 3 safety.

That is actually not too horrible of a trade down.

No.

Only way I'd do it is if I was guaranteed that Pace's first choice would still be there at 9, but I don't know how much of an upgrade McCarron would be over Hoyer as a bridge QB so I'm not sure it's worth gambling and potentially missing out on his guy for the sake of a slight upgrade in 2017, when we won't be Superbowl contenders anyway.

Fuck no. The third pick is far too valuable to swap to 9 for a game manager. QBs like McCarron can be found every single year in the 4th and 5th rounds. If you want a QB like that save yourself the draft ammo and take a late round guy. The Bears should be looking for a game changer at the most important position in sports, not Andy Dalton lite.

Come to think of it no way. I'm settling for another Kyle orton type qb instead of drafting potentially a franchise qb

Hell no. As far as the trade value chart goes that's like trading the number 20 overall pick for him

If you go by the value chart (take it for what it is) you'd be giving up the value of the 20th overall pick for McCarron. Pass. Pass, pass, pass, pass, fuck no. Not worth it in the least.

No I wouldn't. That values McCarron at over a 1st round pick.

If I wanted McCarron I would prefer to give up a pick later on.

Or swap spots in the 2nd and 3rd round.

I wouldn't mind that scenario and still draft another qb cause in all likely hood he is another dud
