Without even giving it much thought, when Heyward bats, my initial reaction is always "Beat the relay. Don't let 'em turn two."

Hate when they have a big first inning then allow team to come back cause the offense can't score more runs to put them away....

This lineup isn't working...
Schwarber hitting .200 and striking out twice a game pace, shouldn't be leading off now..

Sitting guys in Almora and Jay who are actually hitting so he can play Zobrist who not hitting...

Pirates come in losing 4 in row and first two starters struggling and about to lose 2 straight to them...

These guys better get into 2017 and put 2016 behind them soon...

I think that these guys have enough experience to understand that 2017 is a new season. Do you have enough patience to understand that over 162 game season there is an ebb and flow to streaks?

I wonder if the Cubs will win a single playoff game this year? What does your expert opinion say?

He will shut down, master trolls like ommy can only dish it out.

Stats start to mean something after 100 PA's. That said they should mix it up for a game and put Jay In LF and Almora at CF. Zo and Kyle are struggling and a mental day off would be good.

.346 right now. 52 PA 9 hits 9 BB. He is getting worked on the SO's. 19 add to it he is leading the league at taking pitches.

An uneducated guess is he is working too hard at trying to be a lead off vs trying to be a hitter. So as a lead off the main goal is to get on base vs put the ball n play. Thus him going deeper into counts looking to draw a walk and getting rung up at a high clip. I believe he is still in adjustment just by looking at the stats with out watching many of his AB's.

Joe stresses looking for your pitch in a AB and accepting your walks. I believe Kyle is not doing this and is taking borderline strikes vs driving them back he other way or pulling inside strikes. It is going away from his strengths.
