The thing is....they don't even need Grimm if Rondon was his old self. Grimm has a pass to Iowa engraved with his name on it, saves them printing up new ones every two weeks. Rondon is the big disappointment.

Until Rondon got hurt Aug 1st, he had only given up runs once in last 12 appearances..

Hopefully the last 2 appearances was just a case of being rusty and he'll bounce back again..

Problem with Cubs pen outside the 2 (Wilson,Grimm) that really suck is overuse..

When starters are basically going 5 or 6 most games and Maddon gotta burn Montgomery Edwards Strop Duensing twice in a 3 game period it gonna hurt in games like today when he has to use his crap relievers to hopefully get through an inning unscored upon..

I was hoping Montgomery could of gone another inning but he had to go a couple innings the other day...

I thought the Reds bullpen was supposed to be the bad one...

Bats come back with 10 only to have the crap part of their pen give up 4 in last 3 innings

This series totaly sucked...
Very disappointing to come home and face the lowly reds and be lucky to have split it..

Just not feeling it with this team, too much inconsistency with pitching and hitting

Still not digging that Wilson/Avila trade. Like I said at the time i'd have preferred going the cheap catcher route. Lucroy interestingly is 10-30(.333/.500/.467) over 42 PAs since getting dealt to the Rockies.

You dont hit six home runs and lose unless your pitching sucks ass. The pen we already know sucks but shocking for Lester to be that bad. Wasted a great performance by the offense.
