Dude, go talk to your kids about the cap, I don't need your help. Dude, cutting Glennon, Wheaton, and McPhee alone takes the Bears to $70M. That's 3 players! Not to mention that a dozen or so of your (51) are signed to a futures contract to be camp bodies. That's another $10M right there.

Maybe you should talk to someone else about the fuckin salary cap!

Try 63 m.

Colts definitely have more cap space than us. Their roster is just way worse than ours. Except for QB, unless Luck isn't healed then yeah even QB.

Well they also have a grossly overpaid T.Y. Hilton fwiw.

Indy has 65 players signed and 79.2 m in cap space.
Chicago has only 51 players signed and 39.6 m.

Remember, cutting more players means more players need to be signed to fill the roster. So Indy has a significant advantage in money to spend in free agency.

An advantage in money is only good if you have the ability to put a quality product on the field. Part of the reason Indy has all that money is due to the fact that no one really wants to play there. The organization is a mess, their franchise QB acts like he doesn't want to take the field, they can't even get the head coaching situation down and now they have to hire a head coach and go into free agency without a real plan. The Bears have some talented players in skill positions, what looks to be a top notch coaching staff and enough money to fill holes on offense. Indy has a shitload of holes to fill, both offensively and defensively and an unsure future ahead of them.

They look like a team on a potential freefall. They have money but will have to pay big time for talent, which doesn't always work.

Colts could be the new Browns if they aren’t careful. Irsay is finding it difficult to look competent without the likes of B. Polian, T. Dungy, P. Manning, etc....

By the time FA signing period opens ...
On one side is a team with its first choice at HC with a QB in place, a good D and D coordinator, with holes to fill.

On the other side? A team with a GM recently embarassed and a HC that is a “rebound” choice, with someone else’s assts, an injured QB, and even more holes to fill.

How would players see Indy as having an advantage?

Just like last year when we could, and did, offer more money, but were not a better option.

THey’re probably getting Del Rio who might be a better coach anyway.

Doesn't he have to forego the money form the Raiders if he takes another coaching job?
Maybe he does anyways to coach, but if it was me I'm moving to the bahamas for the next 3 years...

At the end of the day, the Bears have their first choice and the Colts have no one’s first choice.

I just don't understand why you'd name your website Sports Mockery if it isn't satire.

Perhaps it was all based on mock drafts at first? Or mocking mock drafts? I don't know.
