Think the bears should make a play for him as well?

I would think he could be a good piece if he comes at the right price.

No. In 4 years he has never played a full season. We need to build from the draft. Not sign other teams garbage.

Really?? For what possible reason would we want a guy who has never played a full season in 4 years?? In 4 seasons he has started 8 games, 15 games, 11 games, 8 games. No reason to bring him in. PASS.

It would be great to continue building the WR room, but I'd rather get a rookie through the pipeline. Unless we lose Meredith, I'd rather we spend our FA bucks elsewhere.

If we are talking about one or the other I take Meredith over Hurns even with Meredith coming back from his knee injury.

He was active for 16, 15, 11, and 8 games to be fair. Rookie season he only started 8 because he was UFA coming in. You're right though that he has been a little banged up the last 2 years

3-4 million/season I think it is in the budget. Higher than that and I do not think it makes sense.

I think he will get more than that.

But if would make it so we could not draft WR.

I hear you. The Bears sure haven't had the best of luck with Wide Outs and injuries. In fact, injuries as a whole.

Robinson, Meredith, Gabriel, Hurns, White and a 4th round draft pick like T. Smith, A. Miller, Gallup or Quinn. Let Gentry and Bellamy fight for the last spot too. Leaves White as the 5th guy if he flames out again.

Exactly this. Filling the roster with other teams cast offs when there's better and cheaper talent available is just silly.

You could spend that pick to add a cheaper player on the DL or take another swing at OLB.
