I dont know why he is not going back to the pitcher hitting 8th to get more guys on for Bryant, since he keeps putting him in the 2 hole not 3. When will Rizzo start getting bounced around in the order?
I dont even think Heyward is 100% yet, thats physically not talent wise. Just cant help but question the moves.

Bryant hitting second doesn’t have anything to do with the pitcher batting eighth. Current thinking on ideal lineup construction is that your best OBP guy leads off, your all around best hitter in the 2 hole, your best power hitter 4th and your second best power hitter 5th. Whoever is left of your five best hitters hits third. Unfortunately the Cubs roster doesn’t quite lend itself to the ideal lineup so they tend to play matchups based on game day analytics.
