Bryant still hasnt swung a bat..
Wouldn't surprise me if they shut him down for surgery and look to the waiver wire for a 3rd basemen trade

I called for more Almora often in the first half. But, man, I can't remember the last time I saw him get a hit with a man on base. Or take a pitch.

If this was about Contrares, I think it was simple, there was no reason to try to get to second on that play and he did not want Contrares rewarded for a baserunning mistake.

Javy is making a serious run for MVP. You figure the top 5 will come among these 7 guys: Carpenter, Baez, Arenado, Freeman, Yelich, Cain and Suarez. Because Carpenter and Suarez are not on contenders and aren't going to be having that amazing season it takes to overcome that you have to figure they're on the outside looking in. If the voting was tomorrow it would be a tight race between Baez, Freeman and Arenado.
