Bio: I am pleased to be apart of this growing news page. I will continue to bring to ChiCitySports.Com my knowledge of the National Basketball Association and my passion for the Chicago Bulls organization. It is my joy to look at my city’s team from all angles and unbiasedly share the truth – through my own eyes. It shall continue to be a great pleasure and indulgence of mine to cover the games of the Chicago. I’m hoping to see much progress over the 2010-11 NBA Season.
Favorite Chicago sports memory: [Bob Costas] “Seventeen seconds… Seventeen seconds… from Game Seven… or from Championship number six… Jordan… open – Chicago with the lead! [whistle blows] Time out: Utah! Five-point-two seconds left. And Michael Jordan running on fumes… with fourty-five points.”
[Isiah Thomas] At the end of the game, you gotta get it out of his hands! He’s beaten you so many times, Bob..
Favorite Chicago athlete of all-time: From North Carolina – At Guard – 6’6″
Claim to fame: At the age of ten years-old, I ran out of the house and down the street for four consecutive blocks. The reason: Reggie Miller just hit the game-winning three-pointer to defeat Chicago, and Jordan’s prayer of a shot rimmed out. This was, perhaps, the worst day of my life…

Bio: My father was a Chicago transplant to Southern Kentucky, and I drank the juice early in life. Grew up assuming excellence was standard with the Bulls in the 90′s. I’ve had my struggles w/ the Cubs and Bears, and until recently the Blackhawks, but I’m convinced they’ll all pull through. I have a degree in Elementary Education, and I’m currently working as a community liaison/data entry for a local business. I like to spend my free time on Lake Cumberland, the houseboat capital of the world!

Bio: I haven’t missed a Bulls game in 25 years*. Astrix because a handful of them were taped and watched no more than a day later thanks to either work or school, and a few missed live thanks to being in the military(well, like a few seasons, but I caught up!) I also have been a conscious Bulls fan for longer than that and I hope to go another 25 without hiccups! I haven’t missed a Bears game in almost as long, and I catch about 20 Hawks games a season, between the rest.
I support both baseball clubs. My parents were from the northside and lived in Wrigleyville, but I grew up within a ‘city walking’ distance from Comiskey. My family moved to Green Bay in the heat of the football season. Lucky for me it was only for 2 months, then we moved back to good old chi-town. At that point I didn’t care about northside and southside. My city pride grew and all that matters was the Chicago that stood in front of the name. At least this made sense to me as a kid. Since then I never really chose one baseball team over the other, I’ll figure this out when they meet each other in the World Series.
Favorite Chicago Sports Memory: The riots after the 1991 NBA Finals. Even a humble Bulls fan only cautiously optimistic at that point. The car next to mine was flipped over, there was a street fire when I looked out of my back window. Drunk strangers were hugging each other, throwing some serious high-fives out and knocking down poles. That is when you couldn’t help but realizing, shit just got real.
Favorite Chicago Sports Athlete: Joakim Noah and Mike Brown

Bio: I have been a Chicago sports fan ever since I was able to watch the games with my dad in our basement. Since then I’ve always had an obsession with sports. I started writing to feed the obsession, but I never thought it would take off as fast as it did. I will be attending Ball State in the fall, majoring in Journalism.
Favorite Chicago Sports Memory: Attending Kerry Wood’s 20 strikeout game when I was just a little kid. I only remember that we were in the bleachers and that the Cubs were playing the Astros. And going to the Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup rally in Chicago.
Favorite Chicago Sport Athlete: Mark Grace.

Bio: I attend Elmhurst College in Illinois where I host my own 2-hour radio show covering Chicago Sports. I have been a Chicago sports fan ever since the day I was born and fell in love with the sport of hockey when my dad took my brother and I to my first Chicago Blackhawks game when we were just 2 years old. Ever since that day, my biggest passion has been following my favorite Chicago Sports team and sport religiously 24/7, 365 days a year!
Favorite Chicago Sports Memory: Attending the 2010 Winter Classic at Wrigley Field between the Red Wings-Blackhawks and being able to witness (on television) the Blackhawks winning their 4th Stanley Cup in team history with my dad who finally got to see his favorite team win one in 49 years! Oh, and the Stanley Cup parade in Chicago down Michigan Avenue afterwards was pretty wild, too…
Favorite Chicago Sports Athlete(s): Tony Amonte, Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Patrick Sharp, Corey Crawford, Starlin Castro.
Claim to Fame: I caught Paul Konerko’s home-run ball at Wrigley Field during a Cubs-Sox game when I was about 11 years old. After the game ended, a close friend of Konerko’s saw me walking up the stairs from the section I was sitting in showing off the ball to everyone. She pulled me aside and explained to me how she knew Konerko. As she was telling me this, she took out her phone, dialed his number and handed me the phone telling me to leave him a voicemail. Even though I didn’t get to talk to him, it was still a pretty cool day especially since I was just a kid that didn’t really know what was going on at the time (because it was happening so fast) until I actually thought about it on the car ride home… It made it that more exciting!
