Chicago Sky star Angel Reese looked back to her roots as she continued to praise and recognize the LSU Lady Tigers and her former teammates. Just recently, she expressed her admiration for Tigers forward Aneesah Morrow, who she had the chance to play with during her senior year.
In a post on X, Angel Reese gave praise to Aneesah’s skill in the game, particularly in getting rebounds one after another.

Reese is also known for getting lots of rebounds, from her days in college all the way to her rookie year in the WNBA.
In a mock draft for the 2025 season of the WNBA, Morrow is expected to be the third overall pick and get drafted by the Chicago Sky—which, if it happens, would make her and Reese teammates once more.
Reese and Morrow got to be teammates for the 2023-2024 college basketball season. It was Reese’s senior year and Morrow was a new transfer to LSU from DePaul University.
During her senior year, Angel Reese was the top rebounder in women’s basketball. At the time, she averaged 13.4 rebounds per game. Her overall stats also showed she has decent offensive powers as well, as she averaged 18.6 points per game and shot 47.1% from the field, and 72.6% from beyond the arc.
Aneesah Morrow, for the current 2024-2025 season, is also currently the top rebounder in college basketball. She is currently averaging 14 rebounds per game. Like Reese, Morrow is also doing great work on the offense side, as she is averaging 18.3 points per game.
Angel Reese Gets Support Over “Disrespectful” Comment From Podcast
WNBA star Angel Reese was recently the subject of one of the episodes of the Club 520 Podcast, which was hosted by former Atlanta Hawks player Jeff Teague. Emmy-nominated sports broadcaster Chris Williams came to the defense of Reese, calling out the former NBA player and his podcast team for the “blatant disrespect.”
“Teague has been talking nasty about the W riddled with misogyny ever since the 2024 WNBA season began. And it wasn’t just the blatant disrespect for Angel either,” Williamson said. “We peeped that trifling crap they said about Brittney Griner too. Talmbout, “yeah I wished her ass stayed in that Russian jail” cuz of that pool pic. [A] whole bunch of pathetic excuses for men.”
