Halas hall has seen quite a few changes in the past months and this offseason it’s not just personnel that will be changing. Larry Mayer reports that Halas Hall will undertake a bit more than a face lift. From additions like a large event center to expansions of the weight room, office space, and media and interview rooms this is quite an upgrade to the Lake Forest center of operations that was built in 1997 to replace the aging original Halas Hall. The event center is the centerpiece of the new renovations and it features a 4,000 square foot broadcast studio and conference center as well as a new dining facility. A large addition to the weight room and a sprucing up of the locker room and player meeting areas will make the team happy as well. Overall the expansion will add 30,000 square feet to the facility and is set to be completed by august 1st.
