The Chicago Bears will have a representative in the NFL Pro Bowl after-all.
The NFL announced on Thursday that right tackle Kyle Long will replace Philadelphia Eagles tackle Jason Peters in the Pro Bowl. It’s the third Pro Bowl in as many years for Long who appeared in 2013 and 2014 as a guard.

“I’m very thankful for the fans that voted and for the continual support from the Chicago Bears fan base,” Long said after receiving the news.
Long joins a pretty impressive list of Bears players to make the Pro Bowl in their first three seasons:
- Kyle Long (2013-15)
- Brian Urlacher (2000-02)
- Gale Sayers (1965-67)
- Dick Butkus (1965-67)
- Mike Ditka (1961-63)
- Rick Casares (1955-57)
- Harlon Hill (1954-56)
The 20th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft was moved to right tackle just a week before the Bears opened the season against the Green Bay Packers. Long did struggle a bit at the position, trying to learn on the fly. The Bears plan on working with Long at the position during the offseason.
