After the Bears released J’Marcus Webb, many analysts believed that Jonathan Scott would be the swing tackle, backing up both Jermon Bushrod and Jordan Mills. That has proven not to be the case as the Bears released Scott Tuesday night according to Larry Mayer on the official Chicago Bears Twitter account.
In a corresponding roster move, the Bears re-signed Kyle Adams after releasing him yesterday to make room for new tight end Dante Rosario.
Scott appeared in 12 games last season after being signed during the course of the season and made seven starts for the Bears in 2012. Scott had his knee drained during the course of training camp this year and has struggled in getting back into practice prior to his release.
Eben Britton will now be the swing tackle.
