Per the Chicago Bears, the team has signed defensive end Willie Young.
Young played for the Detroit Lions from 2010-2013, and was a reserve until Cliff Avril left for Seattle in 2013. Young started 15 games for the Lions and had 3 sacks along with 11.5 knockdowns and 15 hurries in 2013, per STATS, a disruption total that would have led the Bears in 2013.
He will earn $3.95M guaranteed in 2014 in base and signing bonus and base salaries of $2.45M in 2015 and 2016.
