Drummond continued to find more scoring opportunities early in the season. In this contest, he finished the night with a 73% field goal percentage alongside his staggering 27 rebounds (18 offensive).
3/23/2016 – vs. Orlando: 35 minutes, 30 points (14/20 FG), 14 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 assist
In a 118-102 win over the Magic, Drummond scored a rare 30-points and closed the night with a 70% field goal percentage. His team was prepared to make a run at the playoffs this time around and Drummond was ready to have his first taste of the postseason as the Pistons went to 38-34 after the win. Drummond led the league in total rebounds and total rebounds per game for the first time in his career, a feat he would continue for the following three seasons.
1/30/2017 – vs. Boston: 41 minutes, 28 points (12/19 FG), 22 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, 2 steals
Drummond and the Pistons suffered a tough loss when traveling to Boston for this game. The Celtics were bailed out by late-game heroics coming from Isaiah Thomas late in the fourth quarter. Drummond had himself a night though, with his 28/22 performance. At this point of his career, Drummond was getting the most playing time for the Pistons and continued to be a rebound magnet each night.
11/7/2017 – vs. Boston: 40 minutes, 26 points (10/12 FG), 22 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals
Drummond and the Pistons had more success in the 2017-2018 season, going into this game with a record of 12-6. Drummond was able to post season-highs in points and rebounds, while also finishing with a field goal percentage of 83%. His performance helped Detroit secure a win in Boston this time around.
