The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired center Brendan Morrison from the Calgary Flames in exchange for minor league defenseman Brian Connelly.
In 28 games played this season, Morrison has registered 4 goals and 11 assists on top of posting a -1 rating. He’s won 50.4% of his faceoffs which ranked 2nd for the team lead with Calgary.
He has spent a chunk of the season on injured reserve from an ACL injury he suffered last year against the Blackhawks.
Morrison, 36 years of age, is in the final year of a one-year deal carrying a $1.25 million cap hit.
He has recorded 200 goals and 401 assists in 923 career games.

“We like what he can bring to the table. It finally came to be today. Obviously, this doesn’t impact defense.
