The Blackhawks’ Patrick Sharp was named NHL All-Star Game MVP. Congrats to Sharp for capturing the honor. The Blackhawks were well represented at the NHL All-Star game in Raleigh this weekend.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The top players in the NHL faced off Sunday in the 2011 All-Star Game at RBC Center in Raleigh, N.C. and the Blackhawks’ representatives filled the scoresheet.

Hawks captain Jonathan Toews had a goal and two assists while teammates Duncan Keith and Patrick Kane each added assists to help Team Lidstrom defeat Team Staal 11-10 in a game that featured very little defense, including no hits from either side. Hawks forward Patrick Sharp had a goal and two assists for Team Staal, which was coached by Joel Quenneville and assistant Mike Haviland.

Loui Eriksson had two goals and two assists while Anze Kopitar and Danny Briere each had two goals and added Shea Weber four assists for Team Lidstrom. Kris Letang and Eric Staal led Team Saal with two goals.

Sharp was named the MVP.
