Rejoice NBA fans!

According to multiple league sources, the NBA has reached a tentative agreement to end the lockout. CBSSports Ken Berger first reported the agreement around 2:15 a.m CST after both sides met for 15 hours starting on Friday and ending early Saturday morning.

On twitter, Berger reported that the tentative agreement ” will be followed reforming of the union, which must be recognized by the owners — a formality, pending finalization of details”.

The NBA will kick off the 66 game season on Christmas Day with a triple header, including the Lakers hosting the NBA’s MVP Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls.

There’s still a lot to be worked out, including “B” list issues with drug testing and draft age. Something that the two sides haven’t officially agreed on yet. That process will take about two weeks, and officially ending the lockout.

There will be a free agency period followed by a few weeks of training camp.

Christmas Day is going to be a great day for basketball fans.
